Teaching Assistant

 

Required for immediate start

 

Actual Salary Range:            £22,595 - £25,320 p.a. inclusive (Scale 2-4 depending on proven skills and abilities)

Hours:                                    35 hours per week (8.30am – 4.00pm) x 38 weeks per annum (term time only)

Contract type:                       Initially fixed term until the end of this academic year.

 

The governors, staff and children at Hadley Wood Primary School are looking for a positive, dedicated and enthusiastic professional to join our vibrant and diverse school. You will need to be able to work flexibly and creatively in a variety of ways to help children overcome their barriers to learning. The successful candidate will be able to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of activities including:

  • Work predominantly in classrooms, supporting SEND students, including those with SEMH needs
  • Provide additional intervention to address individual learning needs, including pre-learning, over-learning, social and communication skills, speech and language and co-regulation techniques
  • Promote inclusion, independence, and positive relationships among pupils
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and the SENCO to ensure all students thrive
  • Deliver structured interventions and participate in the creation of individual SEND documentation
  • Support the class teacher daily by setting up an effective learning environment
  • Contribute to school-wide initiatives promoting equality and diversity
