We are seeking to appoint a

Learning Support Assistant to train for a HLTA Role

This role is offered on a scale 3 whilst gaining the Higher Level Teaching Assistant status

(within a maximu12-month period). The grade will be increased to scale 5 on completion.

Hours: 32.5 per week x 39 week per year

Actual Salary Range: £19,261 - £19,578 p.a inc  (Scale 3)

Duties will include:

• Supporting children’s learning and progress and to share in the care and wellbeing of the children throughout the school.
•   Being involved in the planning, development and delivery of the curriculum.
•  Providing support for pupils with special educational needs.

You will:

• Have a commitment to improving the lives and learning opportunities of young people
• Have knowledge of working within KS1-2 in a primary school environment and working with SEND pupils
• Have proven success at demonstrating highly effective classroom practice
• Have an understanding of delivering interventions
• Be the lead practitioner in the class when required
• Have proven ability to deliver positive behaviour management
• Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Have the ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative
• Be patient, reliable, flexible and optimistic
• Be educated to GCSE Level C (or equivalent) or above in literacy & numeracy
• Be committed to sharing our high expectations for all children
• Fully support the vision, aims and values of our school
