Firs Farm is a popular and successful primary school in Palmers Green, North London. We delighted to opening our 3-year-old Nursery Provision in September 2026 and have substantial funding from the government to support this.
We are seeking a passionate Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our nurturing team at Firs Farm Primary School. This role involves supporting our dedicated staff in fostering a stimulating and engaging learning environment for young pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in planning and delivering engaging learning activities.
Support children’s development, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
Collaborate with teachers to monitor pupil progress and engagement.
Encourage a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
Ensure children have the best start in Education with a commitment to closing the disadvantage gap and delivering a high quality of education.
Providing break and lunch cover as directed.
Qualifications:
Ideally you will have relevant qualification in Early Years education, childcare or similar (such as a teaching assistant qualification).
Experience working with children in an educational setting is desirable.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
