Pupils on roll 162 FTE

Waverley School is a large, Local Authority maintained day school in Enfield,  North London.

Our pupils are ages 3-19 with severe complex needs.  We currently have 162 FTE pupils on

roll across three sites. The largest site is Waverley School and the other two sites are

Waverley@Bell Lane and Waverley@Honilands.

An exciting opportunity has arisen. Governors are keen to recruit an outstanding school   leader to be the next   Headteacher of Waverley School.  Waverley School is a supportive, friendly and positive place to work with highly experienced and motivated staff. Governors wish to recruit a headteacher who has a strategic vision that will take the school through its next phase of its journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• To be the strategic lead professional at Waverley School
• To provide vision, leadership and direction at Waverley School.
• To ensure the school is managed and organised by working strategically with all stakeholders and partners to develop outstanding provision, which will transform the educational and future life opportunities of all the students.
• To ensure the school provides learning environments  which are safe and secure for all students and staff.

Essential Criteria:

• Significantly skilled at being a senior leader in either mainstream or special educational needs schools
• UK recognised Teaching Qualification
• Experience of teaching pupils with severe and complex needs.
• Leadership Qualification to least least NQPSL
• High level of emotional intelligence and resilience
